This give list provides a range of not-for-profit organisations working to support people affected by the PNG, Enga Landslide 24 May, 2024. While the entities listed below are all known to APS, we do not conduct a detailed analysis of their financial position and governance ahead of their inclusion in this list. All charities’ audited financials are available to view on the ACNC website.
This is not an exhaustive list of the not-for-profit organisations working in this space.
Care Australia
Care Australia is working with CARE PNG in their emergency appeal to support the estimated 2000 people that have been killed and thousands more that have been displaced. CARE International PNG is responding with supplies of food, water and basic hygiene. The recovery phase will further support with shelter, WASH facilities, protection and agriculture.
Caritas
Caritas Australia is working with their partners on the ground in Papua New Guinea, assessing the affected villages to determine the most urgent priorities. The recovery is expected to be long, with food, shelter and clean water amongst the most urgent needs for people.

UNICEF Australia
Among other critical support, UNICEF is distributing emergency supplies, including clean water, sanitation tools, and hygiene items, to help families maintain health and dignity during the emergency.
