APS announces conclusion of partnership with PortfolioGuardian
26 June 2023
Australian Philanthropic Services, leading provider of ancillary fund services, and PortfolioGuardian, accounting firm and administration specialist, announce the conclusion of their 11-year partnership.
PortfolioGuardian has been the trusted accounting provider for the Australian Philanthropic Services (APS) Private Ancillary Fund (PAF) administration service since 2012. The accounting service will transition over the next six months.
Over the last 11 years, PortfolioGuardian has enabled APS to deliver quality accounting for private ancillary funds and scale the philanthropic service offering. APS has grown from 40 clients to over 750 clients and now achieved the growth and scale required to bring the accounting service in-house. As a charity, APS is committed to delivering a trusted service at the lowest possible fee. In-housing the accounting function further enables APS to provide a charitable service end-to-end.
Judith Fiander, CEO of APS, said it was a significant transition for the organisation. “Bringing the accounting service in-house is a natural progression and will help us to further streamline our operations and service delivery. In addition, we are leveraging AI and automation technology as we continue to drive further efficiencies in our processes.”
Chris Cuffe, Founder and Chair of APS, acknowledged the significant contribution of the partnership. “We express our sincere appreciation to PortfolioGuardian for all the support provided to our clients and organisation. They have been a valued partner, providing a trusted and efficient accounting service for APS clients. We wish them continued success.”
Phil Jaquillard, Executive Chair of PortfolioGuardian, said “We take great pride in our longstanding partnership with APS, spanning over a decade, and commend them for their exceptional efforts in nurturing the philanthropic sector in Australia. Their dedication to expanding philanthropy, starting from a small base to its current state, has ultimately made a profound and lasting impact on numerous charitable organisations across the country. We are honoured to have played a part in supporting their invaluable work.”
Established in 2012, APS is the leading independent, not-for-profit provider of philanthropic services in Australia. APS clients donated $140 million to charity last year and have committed over $2 billion to charity within structures it supports. APS is committed to supporting the Australian Government and Philanthropy Australia target to double structured giving by 2030.
