An announcement from Antonia Ruffell, APS CEO
After nine years at our helm, Antonia Ruffell will be leaving her role as Chief Executive Officer of Australian Philanthropic Services (APS) in December 2021.
Joining in 2012, Antonia has led APS through an extraordinary period of growth, with the organisation now supporting over 600 individuals and families to structure their philanthropy and give over $100 million to charity every year.
Of her decision, APS Chairman Chris Cuffe said, βOn behalf of the Board and the team at APS, we thank Antonia for the passion, commitment and expertise she has brought to her role. We also warmly congratulate her for the success that APS has achieved during her tenure as CEO. The now market-leading APS service offering has encouraged hundreds of additional individuals and families to structure their giving. These APS clients now enjoy the myriad of benefits this giving style provides, and nearly $2 billion is committed to future community good in structures that we support.β
Next year, Antonia will be joining forces with tech investor and philanthropist Daniel Petre on a brand-new philanthropy project.
Mylee Nguyen, APS Head of Operations, has been named Acting CEO. Antonia will support her over the next month to ensure a smooth leadership transition. APS has also appointed a specialist firm to begin a competitive search for a new CEO.
