Kate Stone

Head of Philanthropic Giving

Kate Stone is head of philanthropic giving at APS. She leads the team responsible for helping our personal, family and institutional clients to navigate the charity landscape, develop impactful giving strategies and feel rewarded by their philanthropic decisions.

Kate comes to APS with two decades of experience in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors across executive leadership, marketing, consultancy and research. She joined APS in March 2020 from The Hunger Project (THP), a not-for-profit organisation on a mission to end world hunger by 2030 through sustainable, holistic solutions. Kate held several roles with THP, most recently as chief operating officer.

A lifelong student of human behaviour, Kate is a people person. Passionate about equality, she’s energised by the opportunities that philanthropy can bring to communities experiencing disadvantage.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Industrial Relations from the University of Sydney and a Masters in Organisational Psychology from the University of New South Wales.
