
Kevin Robbie
Head of APS Foundation
Kevin Robbie is the Head of the Australian Philanthropic Services (APS) Foundation, leading the foundation’s strategy and operations.
Prior to Australian Philanthropic Services, Kevin was the Managing Director at Think Impact, a leading social impact and sustainability consultancy in Australia that supports organisations from across business, government, philanthropy and the not-for-profit sector to manage for better impact. He was at Think Impact for nearly nine years leading their work around impact led design. Through this, Kevin has led projects in the areas of employment creation, First Nations, early childhood development, mental health, housing and homelessness, social valuation, infrastructure and community development.
Before joining Think Impact Kevin was the CEO of United Way Australia and before that he was an Executive Director at Social Ventures Australia for seven years, leading their work on social innovation. Kevin has a background of over 25 years in social change and is an author, trainer, presenter and facilitator in a diverse range of issues including social innovation, evaluation, social enterprise development, collaborative leadership, strategic philanthropy, impact investing and new approaches to commissioning public services.
Prior to moving to Australia, Kevin was Chief Executive of one of Scotland’s leading social enterprises, acted as an advisor to the Big Lottery and also acted as an advisor to both the Scottish and UK Governments where he authored a range of publications including producing guides to collaborative commissioning, impact measurement, social procurement, consortia development and commissioning public services.
