They provide an overview of the key market themes from FY2025, discuss portfolio performance, and share their outlook for the year ahead.
Highlights:
- FY2025 saw a strong year for global markets, led by gains in tech and AI sectors while investor confidence has improved as interest rates have stabilised. Growing interest in responsible investing is seeing tighter increased scrutiny from regulators, bringing greater transparency for investors.
- APS Foundation continues to deliver strong investment performance with the General Portfolio returning 8.2% p.a. over 7 years to 30 June 2025, exceeding the benchmark return of 7.3% p.a. (CPI + 4% over rolling 7-year periods). For FY2025, the General Portfolio delivered returns of 10.6%, while the Focused Portfolio returned 6.4%. All returns are after fees.
- APS Foundation’s long-term investment objective enables our portfolio managers to explore illiquid, high-return opportunities. Both portfolios are highly diversified, with increasing exposure to private equity and infrastructure, supported by pro bono and low bono services from respected fund managers.
