Social cohesion and philanthropy in Australia
We were very happy to catch up and connect with many in our APS community at our recent client event in Melbourne. Exploring the theme, The Fabric of Us: Philanthropy for a Cohesive Australia, it was a timely, deeply thoughtful, and insightful conversation on the state of social cohesion in Australia.
Thank you to our panel, Anthony Eisen, co-founder of Afterpay, Director of the Eisen Family Private Fund and Australian Philanthropic Services (APS) client; Hugh de Kretser, President of the Australian Human Rights Commission; and Kamal Ibrahim, CEO of One Ball, Inc for joining us. Each panellist brought their own personal experiences to a complex issue, focusing on the good that can be done. If you are looking to support charities working on social cohesion in our community, we have compiled our Give List.
Thank you to all our clients who joined us – it was an inspiring night and lovely to hear of the great impact you are all making. If you are looking for support in this area with your giving, please contact our Giving Services team.
